Meet the owners
Peter and Lynne Kerr have more than 30 years experience in the casino industry and now run 4 Aces Fun Casino based in Norwich.
Peter started his career early in the 1980’s at Kings Casino in Great Yarmouth where he began as a trainee croupier and worked his way up to position of Gaming Manager. He was then offered a managerial role in the first casino to open in Moscow. 3 days before he was due to leave for Russia there was a coup in Moscow – he wondered should he stay or should he go he recalls? He decided to go, and wondered what hit him when he arrived! It was -20 degrees and the place was full of tanks and troops, still not everything was bad! They had opened the first Irish bar, where you could get a good pint of Guinness and a bowl of Irish stew. They had also opened the 1st McDonalds, where you could buy a big Mac, fries and an apple pie for just 10p. 4 years later he was still there.
Lynne started working in casinos in 1979, firstly in Birmingham (that’s where she’s from, but don’t hold it against her!) She then spent many years working abroad, in Gabon, West Africa, then Rotterdam in Holland before moving to Moscow and Kiev. Peter and Lynne married in 1997 and yes, you’ve guessed it...Las Vegas....where else? We just love the casino industry and our wedding day had to be in the casino capital of the world. ‘We’ve been back 5 times now’ they explained.
